This meeting is hosted by the North Carolina Collaborative for Mathematics Learning (NC2ML) for district math leaders in the CCRESA Assembly Hall on May 17th from 9-12p. We are beginning a new four-year co-design cycle to promote a shared statewide vision of high-quality equitable instruction. The goal of the meeting is for listening and dissemination about the work and needs of districts and the upcoming work of the project.
During the meeting we will:
-
Listen to district leaders how they have used and implemented previous (NC2ML) resources (briefs, modules, instructional frameworks, etc.) and lessons learned.
-
Share lessons learned from the project team and how those lessons are being used to move forward in the coming project–both for co-design and research. These will include discussions of vision, coherence, and equity.
-
Work together to brainstorm problems of practice that we can all work on together in the next few years with the co-design teams starting to design this summer and continuous input and participation from district leaders and other stakeholders throughout the project.
-
Identify other issues district leaders want to share or discuss.
